The Saint-Ghislain Model Railway Fair is a must-attend event for
model train enthusiasts in Belgium. Organized by the model railway
section of the “Patrimoine Ferroviaire et Tourisme” (PFT)
association, this fair takes place three times a year in the former
wagon maintenance workshops of the Saint-Ghislain railway
station.
The event gathers around fifty exhibitors, including both
professionals and private collectors, offering a wide range of
model trains, books, magazines, and railway-related items. Visitors
can also admire rolling stock exhibitions outside, access the model
railway section on the upper floor, and enjoy a refreshment area
with light snacks.
Located approximately 300 meters from Saint-Ghislain station, the
Rétrotrain site is accessible via a ramp between the two viaduct
bridges. As on-site parking is reserved for exhibitors and people
with reduced mobility, visitors are advised to park at the
station’s parking lot.
