Märklin opens its doors in Göppingen for everyone interested in a
behind-the-scenes look. The event promises insights into
production, activities for children and adults, a presentation of
the training workshop, Märklin engineering, and the opportunity to
assemble your own locomotive. The event is designed for the whole
family.
Highlights:
- Factory tour: Visitors will gain a deep appreciation for the
craftsmanship involved in Märklin models. The tour includes the
entire production process at the headquarters, showcasing
departments like die casting, casting processing, electroplating,
and sheet metal processing. Visitors will also see individual part
production in plastic injection molding and the turning house, the
quality control in the printing house, and witness the complete
assembly of a locomotive.
- Big Tent Special Sale: Large sale of special and remaining stock,
fully functional second-choice items, partially unpacked goods,
damaged packaging, individual parts, and selected spare parts.
