The Model Railway Exhibition – Łódź Fabryczna is a family-friendly
model railway exhibition held at the impressive Łódź Fabryczna
railway station in central Poland. Organized by the Łódzki Klub
Modelarzy Kolejowych (ŁKMK), the event transforms the modern
station into a dynamic showcase of railway passion, craftsmanship,
and technical creativity.
This exhibition brings together model train enthusiasts, hobbyists,
and curious visitors to explore a wide variety of modular layouts,
dioramas, and scale models—ranging from historical railways and
urban metro systems to imaginative miniature landscapes. Displays
span multiple scales (including H0, TT, and N) and feature both
static and interactive elements, including lighting effects, sound,
and moving trains.
Highlights of the event typically include:
Large, realistic
modular layouts from Polish and international clubs;
Themed dioramas
depicting historical or fantastical scenes;
Live demonstrations
and interactive elements for children;
A model railway
market and stands from partner organizations;
Special exhibitions,
such as military railways or metro systems;
Evening displays with
ambient lighting for a unique atmosphere.
Free to attend and located in one of Łódź’s most accessible venues,
the exhibition offers a unique opportunity for people of all ages
to immerse themselves in the world of miniature railways, celebrate
railway culture, and discover the craftsmanship behind model
making.
