The Salon du Modélisme is an exciting annual event that brings together model enthusiasts and professionals at the Cité du Train – Patrimoine SNCF, in partnership with the RAMCAS (Rail Miniature Club Alsace Sud-Mulhouse). This event, set amidst the impressive collections of the museum, offers a captivating experience where the enchanting worlds of model trains, vehicles, aircraft, boats, and dioramas come to life.

Visitors of all ages can explore a variety of themed displays, participate in hands-on workshops, and enjoy live demonstrations both indoors and outdoors. The event features interactive activities, such as riding a small train pulled by a steam locomotive, engaging in construction workshops, and experimenting with model railway setups.

A highlight of the exhibition is the Playmobil® display, which has been expanded due to its popularity. This exhibit, in partnership with Generations Playmo Elsass, invites families and friends to relive cherished childhood memories and immerse themselves in playful storytelling.

The event also hosts a traditional exchange market, highly anticipated by collectors and enthusiasts of miniature vehicles and vintage toys.
