International Gangelter Model Building Days

Every year, on the first weekend of Advent, the “Gangelter Modellbautage” event takes place, a tradition that has been celebrated for 26 years and has gained popularity well beyond the region. The event showcases a wide variety of new and interesting model railway layouts in different scales, attracting enthusiasts from near and far.

Held at the Gesamtschule Gangelt-Selfkant, the event features over 90 exhibitors from various model-building disciplines. Visitors can explore model railways, RC models, trucks, ships, airplane models, plastic model kits, DIY model trees, and more. There are also attractions for children, including a large wooden play railway and a Carrera track, as well as demonstrations of 3D printing. The event offers plenty of inspiration and opportunities for hands-on participation.
