if the main announcements for 2022 novelties are yet to be
revealed, the SBB CFF FFS - RABe 501
"Giruno" electric multiple unit will certainly be the
headline!After being announced in 1 (1:32) scale by Kiss Modellbahnen Schweiz and in HO (1:87) scale by LS Models as a 2022 highlight and by Arwico as an exclusive model for the Swiss market under reference numbers Piko 97230 & 97231, Märklin will be the fourth manufacturer to reproduce this unit!
In Märklin TV - Episode 113, managing director Wolfrad Bächle reveals the company is in the final stages for tooling in order to manufacturer the miniature model as a new item in the 2022 product range. More details as soon as the 2022 novelties brochure will be available next month.
NB: The Märklin company announced they will not take part in Spielwarenmesse - The Nuremberg International Toy Fair in 2022 - as a consequence of Coronavirus spread in Europe currently and in order to protect its staff and partners worldwide.
