About the model
The TUI FerienExpress was introduced in
1978, featuring newly built trainsets designed for package holiday
travel. These trains operated from Hamburg and Dortmund to various
holiday destinations, providing direct connections and a high
standard of service, including a TUI treff car
with bar and dining area. The livery consisted of beige, carmine
red, pastel orange and nut brown, inspired by the Pop livery of the
Deutsche Bundesbahn.
