Model: All cars have factory-installed indirect LED interior
lighting, which can be dimmed and controlled digitally using a
decoder in the control car. There are buffer capacitors to bridge
short spots without current. The control car is fitted with an mfx
digital decoder. The triple headlights and dual red marker lights
will work in conventional operation and can be controlled
digitally. Long-distance headlights, cab lighting, and control desk
lighting in the control car can be controlled separately in digital
operation. There are 4-pole current-conducting couplers fitted
between the express train passenger cars. The express train
passenger car with running number 1 is fitted with a 2-pole coupler
in an NEM pocket as an electrical connection to the locomotive.
Maintenance-free warm-white and red LEDs are used for the lighting.
Car 1 is aligned with the locomotive with a rubber gangway
connection. The interior details are modeled in detail in multiple
colors. The minimum radius for operation is 360 mm / 14-3/16",
ignoring the clearance gauge. For operation on larger radii, the
skirt fitted as standard in the area of the couplings at the ends
of the cars can be replaced with a separately supplied skirt. A
defined car sequence is specified to enable the full functionality
of the entire train. Length over the buffers approximately 214 cm /
84-1/4". The matching class 101 electric locomotive is also
available in the Märklin H0 range as item 39478. In keeping with
the prototype, only the class 101 electric loco, item 39478, can be
coupled with the express train passenger car set, item 42930. This
item has been developed in a cooperative venture with PIKO
Spielwaren GmbH, Sonneberg, Germany. Find more Märklin explanation
