The three-car model is connected by conductive close couplings. The
drive technology is concentrated in the middle car, where the
powerful motor is located, which transmits its power to all four
axles via cardan shafts. Two flywheels enhance the running
characteristics. Additional traction is provided by two traction
tires arranged diagonally on the middle axles. The main circuit
board with a PluX22 interface is also housed in the middle car. In
the digital models, these are equipped with a PIKO XP5.1 decoder.
As standard, all three cars are fitted with interior lighting. In
addition to the driver’s cab and cockpit lighting, the modernized
trainset features flashing forced door closure lights above the
entry doors. Thanks to the close-coupled front coupling, multiple
trains can be connected together.
