Novelty 2025: The Škoda 47E locomotives, which were delivered to the Czechoslovakian state railway in various versions as the S 489 and S 499, are among the most striking electric locomotives in Europe. The attractive appearance is characterised by the rounded drivers' cabs with large windows. The locomotive body was made entirely of fibreglass-reinforced plastic. The S 499 was procured by ČSD from 1968 in a quantity of 145 units.
