Novelty 2025: In the late 1910s, Prussia developed the T14 tender
locomotive, based on proven elements of the G8.1, and initially
used it in Berlin traffic. Of the 497 locomotives built in total,
many ended up in various European countries after the Second World
War, including Poland, Belgium and Austria. While the DB used its
locomotives until 1960, they remained in service with the DR until
