Prototype:
At the end of the 1960s, the Deutsche Bundesbahn developed the
Class 151 as a heavy freight locomotive, based on the technology of
the 103 and 181/184. With electric resistance brake, train heating,
as well as push-pull and double traction control, it was versatile
in use. Since the 2010s, many locomotives were retired from the DB
fleet; some went to RBH or private railway companies. By 2025, over
50 machines were still operational.
