The models feature all the correct details and printings for the depicted period lovingly reproduced. The H0 personnel can hold onto the separately applied handrails and find secure footing on the stairways made of brass-etched perforated plates. The body is mounted on a solid metal frame, to which the two revised bogies are attached in such a way that the six-axle unit can effortlessly navigate curves with a minimum radius of 358 mm. The universal wheelsets enable trouble-free operation on all common three- and two-rail track systems. To increase traction, four wheels are equipped with traction tires. The two shaft ends of the smooth-running five-pole motor each carry a large flywheel, which, in conjunction with the LokSound decoder, guarantees dynamic driving behavior. Of course, the locomotive can be operated under DCC, Motorola, M4, and Selectrix environments and automatically registers with corresponding control centers thanks to RailComPlus. To enable operation with older Märklin cars, the locomotives come factory-equipped with couplers on both sides. Fans of the classic US knuckle coupler will find two examples for exchange in the packaging.
