The weatherproof Pullman model features all prototype-specific details and is produced as a handcrafted model in a plastic and metal mixed construction. The end grab bars and hose couplings are made from individually attached parts and are factory-mounted. The railcars are manufactured slightly shorter than the prototype to enable operation on all standard track radii (from 600 mm). The body receives a durable paint finish for an even more prototype-like appearance. Paintwork and lettering correspond to the respective construction states. The multi-part and multi-colored painted driver's cabs and passenger compartments are atmospherically illuminated by warm white LEDs.
Of course, you can also switch all prototype-specific front signals in digital operation. The roof-mounted pantographs made of metal are smoothly raised and lowered by high-quality ESU servos, accompanied by original sound. You can digitally set the height to which the pantographs should extend.
Each of the two bogies is equipped with a powerful seven-pole Bühler motor, which transmits its power to both axles of the bogies through low-wear ball-bearing shafts. The axles carry wheels made of stainless steel and are also guided in ball bearings. A three-point suspension of the bogies ensures constant contact of all wheels with the track, thus guaranteeing a safe power pickup at all times.
Nevertheless, the ESU LokSound XL V4.0 digital decoder is factory-equipped with a "PowerPack" energy storage device, which guarantees a consistently reliable power supply even on the dirtiest tracks in the garden. The digital equipment with several new acoustic functions in the garden railway sector allows you to experience your layout in a completely new way.
The powerful original sound is emitted to the outside world by a large 50mm speaker with a sound capsule. Innovative sensors produce the typical squeaking sound in curves, depending on speed. At the ends, the railcar features LGB-compatible couplings.
