The PIKO model of the class 232 for NL use has all the typical features of its prototype. The grab irons are free-standing. The model features, among other things, the finest paint and printing, free-standing grab irons, a zinc die-cast frame and a powerful five-pole motor, which guarantees balanced running characteristics with two balanced flywheel masses. The model has two traction tires that sit in a diagonal arrangement on the inner axles of the two bogies. The lighting is provided by LEDs. The cab lighting and the tail light can be switched separately.
