About the model

Novelty 2023: Print variant of the GTW 2/8 as a three-part "Stadler" Arriva in Era VI. The Stadler multiple unit, which is popular in operational service thanks to its modular design, represents a rail vehicle that is highly sought after by many model railway enthusiasts. PIKO responded to this customer request and developed both the GTW 2/6 and the GTW 2/8 as H0 models. The engine and gearbox are completely housed in one of the two driving trailers, which are equipped with interior furnishings and are low-maintenance and invisible to the observer. PIKO attached great importance to the precise reproduction of the futuristic appearance of the modern multiple units, whereby the head shapes of the different construction variants, which differ significantly in their external appearance, were consistently reproduced. The models are characterised by the separately and accurately fitted windows, the numerous, fine engravings of the panelling, the highly detailed reproduction of the bogies as well as the precisely controllable running characteristics. The model has an interface according to NEM 652 for easy digitisation and is prepared for retrofitting with sound.
