Novelty 2025: The six-axle electric locomotive of the PKP ET22
series was delivered from 1969 to 1990 in a total of 1,183 units,
making it the most frequently built electric locomotive in Poland
and throughout Europe. With an hourly output of 3,120 kW and a top
speed of 125 km/h, the universal machines were capable of hauling
over 3,000 tonnes of heavy goods trains at 70 km/h. In front of
fully loaded passenger trains of up to 700 tonnes, the 120 tonne
CoCo locomotives easily reached the maximum speed of 125 km/h.
Found almost everywhere on the electrified PKP network, the ET22
impressed with its timelessly elegant appearance, which made it
very popular in Poland. Digital switching of cab lighting and
