IV.
The postal cars of series 3000, belonging to the General
Directorate of Post, are an evolution of the UIC-X bodies that have
proven themselves in the cars of series 8000. They were
manufactured in the late 1960s and represented a significant
renewal of the postal fleet. They offered more comfort, more space,
and more functionality for the personnel responsible for sorting
and organizing mail and small packages.
Equipped with Minden-Deutz bogies, they, like the other cars of
this type, were in service until the 1990s when Correos ceased rail
operations in Spain.
