The "Grand Confort" coaches are designed for prestige trains in the
southwest, operating at 200 km/h, particularly on the
Paris-Toulouse route with its winding track through the Central
Massif. They have an egg-shaped cross-section to allow for the
installation of a "tilting system in curves," a system that was
never implemented during their service life. The livery in red,
grey metallic, and red stripes corresponds to that of the
contemporary CC 6500 locomotives.
