E 19 class electric locomotive. Epoch
IV (1970–1990) livery featuring typical stem lamps and delicate SBS
39/54 pantographs. Highlights include fine handrails, UIC sockets,
additional centrifugal regulator, extra sandboxes, axle bearing
covers, and battery boxes. Separately attached components include
windshield wipers, roof lines, and insulators. Model supports
digital operation with switchable cab and control panel
lighting.
The
E
19 class was developed by
Deutsche Reichsbahn in the late 1930s
as one of the fastest electric locomotives, designed for the Berlin
- Halle (Saale) - Munich route. After World War II, they were
operated by
Deutsche Bundesbahn and reclassified
as
Class 119, with active service ending in
1978.
