1971

Similar to 060-DA locomotives, these units are equipped with a single driving position as they are intended for operation as a double unit.

2x prototypes are built in 1971 and are most probably intended for Iran but the delivery never took place.

The information regarding these units is not certain: it seems they are equipped with "12-LDA-28" diesel engines (the high supercharging version) providing 2500 hp each. They are provided with climate protection type "THA", with dynamic dust filters, for the air absorbed in the engine room. The bogies of these cars are not of the Swiss type, they are similar to the constructions used later for the locomotives with ALCO engines of 3000 and 4000 HP.

There is information about a test run performed with these locomotives between August 31st and September 4th, 1971, on the route Craiova - Turnu Severin and return.

The two prototypes are used as single units industrial locomotives at the Isalnita Thermal Power Plant, near Craiova.
