2011

In 2011, DB Fernverkehr (a division of Deutsche Bahn that operates long-distance passenger trains in Germany) bought 2x Eurofima compartment cars of the Am61 type from the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB CFF FFS) due to a lack of wagons and had them refitted at the SBB Olten plant.

An option for 13x additional units is cancelled due to the unfavourable Swiss franc exchange rate at the time.

2014

February

Since these 2x units are singular in the Deutsche Bahn fleet due to their Oerlikon braking system, thus increasing maintenance costs, they are phased out in February 2014.

2015

These 2x units are sold to RegioJet where they continue to be registered as Bwmz 29-90 909 & 916.
