Between 1992 and 1993, these 5x railway cars are converted from:
- unit 61 83 75-41 752-3 owned by the Italian State Railways - FS;
- units 61 87 75-41 720-6, 61 87 75-41 721-4, 61 87 75-41 722-2 and 61 87 75-41 733-9 owned by the French National Railway Company - SNCF.

All units from this series are initially integrated to the TEN (Trans Euro Night) wagon pool.

1995

In 1995, after the TEN (Trans Euro Night) wagon pool is dissolved, all carriages from this series are transferred to Belgium National Railway Company - SNCB NMBS national pool of wagons and receive new registration numbers 61 88 70-70 011 - 015.
