This group included the Le.480.001-006 units, delivered as such, and two units classified as Le.480.007-008, which were derived from the conversion of two trailers, Le.360.001-002. These trailers were originally equipped with 36 first-class seats and a bar area.

In 1966-67, the fleet was expanded with three units – Le.480.009-011 – which differed from the 001-008 series in having a smaller kitchen loading hatch.
