The Alee 18-70 series carriages are modernized by
Remarul 16 Februarie Cluj and are delivered
to CFR Călători starting in 2025.
These carriages feature a capacity of 52 seats, reduced from 56 in the unmodernized version. The seating layout has also changed from the previous series; the new configuration is a salon style with seats arranged in a 2+1 format, contrasting with the separate compartments of the older Alee 19-76 series.
In terms of equipment, the carriages are outfitted with air conditioning, modern infotainment systems, tables, reading lights on the seat backs, and power outlets including one 230V, one USB-A, and one USB-C for each passenger. Additionally, the carriages are equipped with emergency SOS systems.
The running gear remains unchanged, utilizing Y32-RS bogies.
