After the first series of 6 coaches modernized in 2024 through a self-financing investment program by CFR Călători, registered Bmpz 21-91 001 - 006, a new series of coaches are modernized from older B₁₁ 21-90 (AVA 200) coaches with the help of PNRR¹ financing from the European Union.

¹ The National Recovery and Resilience Plan, is a strategic plan to invest funds from the European Union's NextGenerationEU (NGEU) recovery program to modernize economies, address COVID-19 impacts, and promote sustainable, digital and inclusive growth.
