April 13

This diesel multiple unit, painted in white and blue, consisted of 6x wagons:
- 2x powered wagons at both ends of the train (at a later stage registered as Class 75);
- 4x trailer wagons located in the middle (at a later stage registered as Class 76).

There are a total of 4x powered wagons built, registered Ade 001 - 004.

This unit enters regular service on April 13th, 1959, on the Bucharest - Constanta route.

The 226 km route is traveled in 2 hours and 30 minutes with an average speed of 90.4 km/h and top speeds of 110 km/h.

During a motor change, the body of the powered cars is modified by being slightly risen to have enough room for the new engine. At the same time the forced ventilation system is removed and replaced by ordinary air intakes on the roof.

By now, the unit is mostly used on secondary lines. Initially stationed at Bucharest depot, the unit runs on routes like Bucharest - Galati or Bucharest Obor - Ciulnita - Slobozia - Urziceni - Bucharest Nord.

It is finally transferred to Arad where it is used on long-distance secondary routes like Arad - Brad and Arad - Vascau.
