Starting in 2005, these units are converted by Atelierele CFR Grivita as follows:
- 1x unit is converted into Bcee 59-76 001 (later redesignated as (Ac)Bcee 44-76 001 and finally AcBcee 44-31 44-31 001);
- 44x additional units are directly converted to AcBcee 44-31.
