AZAR MODELS is a contemporary French manufacturer based in Brittany that has sparked a significant revival in the Z scale (1:220) community. Founded in 2021, the brand was born from a mission to fill the long-standing void of high-quality French National Railways (SNCF) prototypes in the smallest commercial scale. By focusing on iconic Gallic rail history, AZAR MODELS provides collectors with industrial-grade miniatures that were previously almost exclusively the domain of expensive brass imports or rare artisan kits, effectively making the "extra-small" scale accessible to a new generation of enthusiasts.

Technically, the brand is defined by its sophisticated blend of modern industrial processes, including high-precision plastic injection molding and 3D resin prototyping. Their locomotives are celebrated for their advanced technical features—such as factory-installed DCC digital decoders, independent LED lighting, and quiet, high-performance motors—which are rare benchmarks for such a diminutive scale.
