Founded in 1968 by the Ernst Paul Lehmann Patentwerk in Nuremberg, LGB (Lehmann Gross Bahn) effectively invented the garden railway hobby by introducing the G Scale (1:22.5). Designed specifically for outdoor durability, these "Big Trains" utilize high-impact, weather-resistant materials and heavy-duty brass tracks that allow them to operate through rain, snow, and summer heat. Following its acquisition by Märklin in 2007, the brand has maintained its position as the global leader in large-scale modeling, specializing in the charming narrow-gauge railways of Europe and the rugged prototypes of North America.
