HGD

HGD (often known as HGD Hobby Center or simply HGD.ro) is a Romanian manufacturer and major retailer that has become a critical pillar for collectors of the Romanian National Railways (CFR). The brand operates as a high-end specialist in the H0 (1:87) scale, often serving as the primary developer or commissioning partner for exclusive Romanian prototypes produced in collaboration with firms like MTB, Tillig, and Amintiri Feroviare. Their mission is to fill the historical gaps in the Eastern European market by providing museum-quality models that reflect the specific industrial heritage of the Balkans.

The brand is most famous for its definitive recreations of Romanian "workhorses," such as the 060-DA diesel locomotives and the iconic TE double-decker passenger sets. HGD models are characterized by their "Fine Scale" execution, featuring sharp, prototypical printing, separately applied metal details, and advanced digital interfaces (often PluX22).
