Crocodile Replica

The Märklin H0 Gauge Crocodile Locomotive Replica is a detailed re-creation of the first prototype of the Crocodile locomotive, initially planned in 1936 but never released to the public. This model, known under the article number CCS 700, has been a long-standing exhibit at the Märklineum and was part of Märklin's archival collection. Now, as part of the 2024 novelty collection, this historically significant model is being made available to all customers.

Key Features:
Authentic Reproduction: This model accurately replicates the original prototype's features, including a metal pantograph, visible slot screws, and a hook coupling, reflecting the design and engineering standards of the era.
Integrated Technology: It comes equipped with a digital decoder, allowing for operation on modern digital layouts while preserving the historical authenticity of the prototype.
Construction: The chassis and superstructure are crafted from die-cast zinc, ensuring durability and a high-quality finish. The locomotive is powered by both bogies, which feature blind shafts and coupling rods, contributing to its realistic operation. The roof pantographs are spring-loaded but do not have electrical functionality, staying true to the prototype's design.
Packaging and Presentation: The replica is presented in historic cardboard packaging, similar to that used in the era the original was planned.
Certification: Each model comes with a certificate of authenticity, marking it as a unique piece in this special edition series.
