This was both the most common and numerous series among the
locomotives within the CFR fleet, in order to pull freight trains
on both main and secondary lines.
The locomotives were equipped with: Heusinger distribution,
Westing-house brake, Schmidt steam overheating system and coal-oil
fuel mixed combustion.
These locomotives services on almost every railway all over Romania
during the years 1919-1980.
