Ampz 18-75 are built from ABmz 30-75 coaches in 2002.

These coaches still have the original SGP V S bogies and so are capable of reaching only 160 km/h top speeds. The 2nd class compartments are replaced by an open 1st class area and the 4 1st class compartments are modernised as business compartments with 4 generous seats each.

With single voltage power supply, these coaches are targeted for domestic Austrian Intercity trains.

From 2004-2007 these coaches are modernised once again in order to reach 200 km/h speeds. The modernised version is registered as Ampz 18-95 .
