Display registration numbers

1951

10x units of this combined restaurant / luggage car were built in 1951 registered RD 7651 - 7660.

The decision to build a combined coach was taken to avoid overcapacity generated by the use of individual coaches for the restaurant and luggage functions.

These coaches were equipped with a kitchen where hot food could be prepared on a coal stove and a dining area for 15 people. In addition, they had a bar, a conductor's department, a telephone booth for possible later installation of a wireless train telephone (which never came) and a spacious one for an information worker (who had never been there either).

The luggage area was equipped with a side corridor to allow passenger to easily cross from one side to the other. Double sliding doors are on both sides.

- Number of seats: 15x seats in the restauration area.

These coaches receive UIC registration numbers 51 84 87-40 101-1 through 112-8.

8x WRD coaches are converted to control cab cars for the Benelux service:
- 51 84 87-40 101-1 receives after conversion registration 61 84 87-38 101-3;
- 51 84 87-40 102-9 receives after conversion registration 61 84 87-38 102-1;
- 51 84 87-40 103-7 receives after conversion registration 61 84 87-38 103-9;
- 51 84 87-40 104-5 receives after conversion registration 61 84 87-38 104-7;
- 51 84 87-40 106-0 receives after conversion registration 61 84 87-38 105-4;
- 51 84 87-40 107-8 receives after conversion registration 61 84 87-38 106-2;
- 51 84 87-40 108-6 receives after conversion registration 61 84 87-38 107-0;
- 51 84 87-40 112-8 receives after conversion registration 61 84 87-38 108-8.

Unit 51 84 87-40 105-2, not impacted by the conversion, is renumbered 61 84 87-40 112-6 in order to have a contiguous number series.

After the steam heating system is removed from the last 2x remaining units, they receive new registration numbers:
- 61 84 87-40 112-6 receives new registration number 61 84 87-30 112-8;
- 51 84 87-40 111-0 receives new registration number 51 84 87-30 111-2.
