1957

12x units were delivered in 1957 for the Benelux service:
- Dutch Railways (NS): 8x units registered 1201 - 1208;
- Belgium National Railway Company (SNCB NMBS): 4x units registered 220 901 - 904.
(the units were divided between the 2 companies based on the ratio of kilometres to be traveled on the territory of the Netherlands and Belgium for the Benelux service).

In Netherlands these trains could be coupled with other EMU types but they were not compatible with any Belgian material.

Each wagon has a different pantograph: a Dutch pantograph on one side and a (higher reaching) Belgian pantograph on the other side.
