Welcome to the Salon du Train Miniature de Laval 2026 in Laval, France! 🇫🇷🚂✨ A special edition celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Association des Modélistes Ferroviaires de la Mayenne (AMFM), bringing together around 75 exhibitors, talented modellers, clubs, artisans, specialist retailers and some of the leading names in French model railways.

One of the real highlights of Laval is the exceptional quality of its layouts and dioramas. Around 45 layouts are presented in an impressive variety of scales — from tiny Z scale all the way to 1:35 — covering standard, metre and narrow gauge railways. Highly detailed scenery, realistic railway operations and carefully recreated stations, depots, urban environments, industrial areas, ports and landscapes make this exhibition a fantastic showcase of French model railway craftsmanship.

Among the layouts are some remarkable creations representing railway scenes from across France and beyond: Scandinavian landscapes, the Gare de Meulan-Hardricourt, the Guingamp–Carhaix railway, Port des Flandres, Trainbourg 1962, Gare de La Bernerie, Gare des Charentes, Breizh Marine and many more. Several layouts and dioramas are also being presented to the public for the first time.

Local railway heritage has an important place too. The exhibition features scenes inspired by Mayenne and the Laval region, including the impressive Laval steam depot, a layout awarded 2nd prize in the “Large Layout” category at Rail Expo 2022, alongside recreations of local railway landmarks such as Neau station, the Laval station district and the Moulay viaduct.

Alongside these outstanding layouts and dioramas, discover manufacturers, artisans and specialists from the French model railway scene, including REE Modèles, CHREZO, AZAR Models, R37 and many more, presenting models, products and novelties across different scales.
