This extremely versatile kit will be a real hit with may O scale
modellers.
Post-grouping, during the 1920s and 30s, railway companies like the
Great Western Railway were looking at ways of expanding passenger
revenues by opening new, low-cost, halts to generate more traffic.
These halts were generally constructed from wood, often reusing old
wooden sleepers for the surface, and our kits replicate this in
fine detail, including the wood grain of the wood, the fine
rendering of the supporting structure underneath and the additional
gas lamps, running in boards and fencing.
The kit is designed as modular one, with 10 separate modules joined
together to form the full length of the platform, plus the two ramp
sections. This means that the kit is extremely versatile, and can
be shortened, or lengthened by combining with another kit. It would
even be possible to introduce a slight curvature to the platform
and this is explained in the detailed instructions.
