Traffic red livery

The series 232 belongs to the well-known "Ludmilla" family and was originally built in the Soviet Union for the Deutsche Reichsbahn of the GDR. Thanks to its high power and robust technology, it was suitable for heavy freight and passenger trains. After the railway reform in 1994, Deutsche Bahn took over many locomotives for DB Cargo, where they were mostly used in traffic red livery for freight trains. Some machines are still in operation today on non-electrified lines. The model HN2659/S represents this operational period.
