Electric Locomotive Class 250 of the DR

The Class 250 of the Deutsche Reichsbahn, later known as BR 155 at DB AG, was the flagship in heavy freight transport and became known as the "energy container" due to its angular shape. The six-axle electric locomotives built at LEW Hennigsdorf starting in 1977 were primarily intended for heavy freight trains, especially in lignite transport, but were also used for express trains.
Even after the reunification, they remained indispensable for a long time and shaped German rail freight transport until they were gradually replaced by more modern classes in the new millennium.
The Arnold model represents the series version with small front and side windows and is optionally available with a sound decoder.
