With the delivery of the EW II A 1263-1270, AB 1561-1570, as well
as B 2374-2383 and B 2421-2450 between 1975 and 1980 for the main
network and operations on the FO/BVZ, the RhB achieved a noticeable
increase in comfort: more comfortable seats with larger spacing and
improved sound and thermal insulation are just a few features of
the second generation of new construction cars. In recent years,
their modernization has begun - among other things, this is
noticeable by the roof air conditioning units above the
entrances.
Bemo produces two cars in red livery for the formation of prototype
model trains before the refit program, featuring yellow brake
corners. The A 1266 is executed with the old technical block, while
the A 1264 is done with the later introduced Futura bold font.
