Due to the progressive commissioning of more and more specialized cars, the demand for two-axle covered freight cars decreased. Already in 1995 - and to a greater extent from 1997 - various flat cars for swap bodies were created from the series Gb 5001-5100. The specialized cars designated as Lb-v 7851-7886 can be found throughout the entire RhB network from Landquart or Chur: with troughs, conventional containers, postal containers, or refrigerated containers for food transport, such as those for Coop or Migros.
The food chain Volg has renewed its freight car fleet used for servicing its branches in Graubünden in recent years: the six sliding wall cars were converted into climate container cars Sb/Sb-v alongside four additional sliding wall cars, and a new design was introduced; the two containers Y 11601/11602 transported on two-axle flat cars are still in service at the distribution center in Landquart, but have lost their colorful advertising and are now neutral white again.
