About the model

Bemo modernizes the technology of the Rhaetian Crocodile and equips it with LED lighting as well as a Next18 digital interface.

The replacement of the total of 57 steam locomotives was initiated in 1912/13 with the single-frame locomotives Ge 2/4 and Ge 4/6, which were powered by blind shafts and connecting rods. From 1921, the RhB focused on articulated bogie locomotives: By 1929, SLM/BBC/MFO produced a total of 15 of the 1076 HP C’C’-locomotives for the newly electrified routes. The legendary RhB "Crocodiles" were able to demonstrate their performance, especially on the steep Albula line. Some machines were visually distinguished by the installation of additional roof resistors. The locomotives are not only technical masterpieces but also an important part of the cultural heritage of the RhB, which fascinates both railway enthusiasts and tourists alike.
