Fd 8657 Ballast Wagon ochre/rust
Self-discharging wagon FORM NEW
In 1965, the RhB acquired ten two-axle self-discharging wagons OS
8656-8665 from the company Talbot. The wagons, designated as Fd
from 1969 onwards, have a loading weight of 15 t. They can be used
in smaller and thus model railway-friendly complete trains across
several eras. They were eventually renumbered as track maintenance
wagons Xc 9416-9425, and some vehicles were taken over by the MOB.
Similar vehicles were later delivered as licensed constructions to
other railways, such as FO, MOB, and SBB Brünig.
The detailing of the frame, particularly the braking equipment and
the operation of the loading flaps, was designed to be as
prototypical as possible. The ballast container features an
interchangeable cargo insert that can be covered with model
ballast.
