The set contains a goods wagon with swing roof type Taehm and a goods wagon with rolling roof type Taems of the Deutsche Bundesbahn hired out to the Swiss Federal Railways.

After the Second World War, the export of clay from the German clay mining areas became increasingly important. From the middle of the seventies onward, clay transports to Italy - to the northern Italian regions with ceramic manufacturers - were more and more transferred from the truck to the railways. The trains went on a 900 km long journey from the German Westerwald via Switzerland to Italy.
