When Switzerland launched sugar beet campaigns a large quantity of high sided gondolas was required. For that purpose the SBB Cargo leased various series of the type Eaos from France Waggon which were designated with SBB wagon numbers. Some of them displayed eye-catching, half moon shaped applications on the front. These wagons were originally in service at the SNCF and had been outfitted with tarpaulin covers which were taken off again because of no demand.
