■ In ruby red livery and current operating condition
■ Finely etched, perforated front step plates
Starting in 1992, the improved Class 112.1 locomotives were jointly
procured by DB and DR. The most striking external difference from
Class 112.0 is the replacement of the large separate head and tail
lights with compact combined halogen lamps. With an output of 4000
kW and a top speed of 160 km/h, these express locomotives are used
across Germany to haul Intercity, Regional-Express, and special
passenger trains.
