About the model
H0 scale model of an electric locomotive 1616 of
the Deutsche Bahn. Version without air
conditioning, featuring the ceremonial name "Oldenzaal". Includes a
pantograph with innovative attachment, many separately applied
plug-in parts, some of which are etched and a headlight/tail light
switchable with a DIP switch.
DB AG acquired several electric locomotives from the NS 1600 series following the merger of Dutch freight operations into the German Railion Group. In 2012, ten units were painted in traffic red livery, and the last three locomotives were decorated with farewell messages in 2020 to mark the end of their service with DB Cargo NL.
