The Netherlands State Railway procured the 2-axle shunting diesel
locomotives between the years 1934 and 1951 from the manufacturer
Werkspoor, as well as one delivery series from CW Zwolle. A total
of 169 examples were built in several series, each featuring
slightly different designs. Due to the striking noise emitted by
the exhaust pipe, these locomotives were known as “Sikken” or “Sik”
- the singular for “goat” - amongst railway personnel and
enthusiasts.
The model can only be operated with analogue controllers to a
limited extent.
