The Class Rem 476 locomotives are now increasingly appearing in the
new Coop livery.
Rem 476 457 “Aargau” has been in service since spring 2025 and has
been visually adapted to match the three Euro 9000 locomotives
operated by Railcare. All seven Vectrons in the fleet are gradually
being repainted from their original white livery into the Coop
design. With seven Vectrons, three Euro 9000s, and additional
leased locomotives, Railcare operates a Switzerland-wide freight
S-Bahn network. This ensures fast, reliable, and cost-effective
transport between regional distribution centres (hubs). These hubs
serve as key interfaces between road and rail transport. Using
horizontal transshipment, swap bodies are efficiently transferred
between lorries and wagons. In 2024, Railcare recorded a total of
308,492 transshipments across its ten locations. The company uses
both its own facilities on industrial premises with rail access, as
well as current open loading stations operated by infrastructure
providers.
